LAKERS vs SUNS (POST-GAME REPORT)

LAKERS 132 - SUNS 106

The Lakers destroyed the Suns tonight at the Staples Center improving to 48-10 and winning 6 straight.

This was Shaq's first outing at Staples Center since he was a Miami Heat. He received a great ovation, and a great ass kicking.

Everybody got some tonight. Let's start with Lamar. 23 points on 11-12 shooting 9 rebounds and 4 assists in only 3 quarters. It's great to see the Suns not playing defense again. Kobe couldn't miss either. 22 points on 10-13 shooting 8 assists and 4 rebounds. Also in only 3 quarters. Pau had 16 and 9 with one rebound short of a double double but was somewhat busy on defending Shaq.

The bench was awesome. Tonight was the first night you saw the complete bench mob out and running. Even Mbenga got solid minutes and scored 8 points and 2 blocks. Shannon Brown and Adam Morrison look like they've been a part of this team since training camp, both contributing in the 4th quarter. The UCLA connection continued with their run-n-gun style. Ariza had 10 points with 5 steals, Farmar had 12 points with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Josh Powell dropped 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds and The Machine connected for 14 points.

Great game to watch. Even better to see the starters get some rest and not have to come back. The Lakers jumped on the Suns early and the Suns could just not get up. Hopefully the Lakers continue with their dominance tomorrow night in Denver. Next up, the injury riddened Nuggets.
