LAKERS vs BLAZERS (POST-GAME REPORT)

LAKERS 94 - BLAZERS 111

How embarassing was that? They start their 3 game road trip horribly. And for the seventh time in a row, the Lakers take another loss continuing the losing streak at the Rose Garden. It was a no contest. The Blazers flat-out wanted it more while the Lakers seemed to slowly die and melt down towards the end till the bench warmers from both teams stepped out and the Lakers made a semi-run.

First off let me just say that Ariza would have worked Roy in that little scuffle, and Josh Powell would have mopped Outlaw just 'cause! And as bad as I feel for Rudy Fernandez, it was the fall not the foul that got him hurt. Anyway, where were we?

The Blazers came out blazing while the Lakers seemed flat. And when the Lakers did start to make their shots, they couldn't to get any stops. So at times when the Lakers seemed to go on a run, so did Portland. They also killed the Lakers in the rebound department. Pryzbilla and Aldridge crashed the boards accounting for 31 of the Blazers 46 rebounds. Everyone from Portland who I thought would be a threat, became a threat.

Kobe and friends could not have played any worse against a young and athletic Blazers. For a second I thought I as back to watching the Lakers-Nuggets game last week. And this to me was the Lakers' biggest loss of the season(so far). Now Odom-less they head to face a recently well-playing Houston Rockets. But trust me. When Lakers get thin, they get tough.
