LAKERS vs THUNDER (PRE-GAME REPORT)

The Lakers on the second game of their 7 game road trip. Tonight they take a stop in Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder in their 3rd and final meeting in the regular season. Winning both previous match ups by an average of 10.5pts. Though to me weren't great victories.

In this final meeting against the Thunder, the Lakers look to sweep another team in the regular season. And facing a team well under .500, should be easy right? For some reason I don't think it'll be that easy. Oklahoma is very young, very athletic, and have guys who can go on scoring runs; especially that Durant fellow. Smells like one of the recipes that can give Lakers trouble. Most teams can't defend them, so they try and outscore them.

With their great young starters like Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, and Russel Westbrook; they can be a dangerous team, and would be great to build a team around those three. But for now they're stuck with an average bench and role players. Though from time to time, do have their moments. And for some reason, I always feel like Collison is going to put up numbers against the Lakers.

The previous win against the Bulls was just what the Lakers bench needed. A lift. A game to gain their confidence back. Farmar looked like his old self, stealing balls, hitting threes, and was assertive and aggressive. Sasha finally shooting over 50% in the past couple of games. Luke put in work when he was needed. And aside from that first half, the Lakers were doing what they should have been doing. Playing smart, fundamental, and most of all playing towards their potential.

As long as the starters stay as they are, and the bench plays consistent; this team will come out with another win.
