LAKERS vs RAPTORS (POST-GAME REPORT)

LAKERS 112 - RAPTORS 99
The Lakers barely held the Raptors under a hundred points in this 112-99 win over Toronto. Which means the fans at Staples Center almost didn’t get their tacos due to the many turnovers towards the end of the game.
We played beautifully tonight(Aside from some suspect defense and stupid turnovers). Halfway through the second quarter the Lakers showed some life in the defensive end. They then started moving the ball beautifully and scoring effortlessly when looking for the extra pass(Which the Lakers had 34 total assist, 20 of them coming from the bench).

Leading the way was our very own MVP, Kobe Bryant who had 23pts(15 shy from becoming the youngest player to reach 22000 points) and 7asts who didn‘t even play in the fourth(Again). Another player who rested in the fourth was Pau who put up 24pts and 9rebs(Talk about consistent).

Andrew Bynum is back young sirs’!, 18pts and 10rebs(AGAIN!). The ally-oop he made when his legs were taken from under him by Joey Grahm was probably my favorite dunk so far I’ve seen this year. Aggression, that’s what I like to see from the 7’1, 21 year old. He also did a number on Chris Bosh. Though it doesn’t show on paper, he changed many of Bosh’s shots making him miss numerous times and also did a good job in staying in front of the quick step Raptor.

Trevor Ariza had 14pts, 6rebs, and 5asts off the bench. Not only is this man a defensive maniac, he’s also turning in to an offensive beast that we all want him to become. Mr. Unselfish(Lamar Odom) didn’t put too much points up but did a bit of everything else. The Lakers were also +19pts when Lamar was in the game.

After our lack of defense in the first quarter and a half, we had great interior defense. Unfortunately we still had trouble defending behind the arch. The Raptors shot up ten 3-pointers, mostly coming from Parker and Kapono, but it seemed like all of the Raptors had a 3 pointer. Though we did a good job defending Bosh(12pts and 6rebs), we struggled in keeping Calderon from gaining more assists(who had 11 just in the first half). Hopefully the Lakers can start playing suffocating defense for 48 minutes instead of 5 minute defensive spurts. Were going to need to during out road trip to the east. First stop, Danny Granger and T.J. Ford of the Indian Pacers.
