LAKERS vs KINGS (POST-GAME REPORT)

LAKERS 112 KINGS 103

Not the prettiest win, but a win. The Lakers avenged their loss from a couple nights ago against the Kings tonite, but had a hard time doing it. Andrew Bynum picked up 4 quick fouls in the first half and eventually got fouled out with about 4 minutes left in a game denying Spencer Hawes for a jam. A-Train ended with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Pau came through like always and had 18 points along with 11 rebounds. The Lakers were working on building a big lead and the Kings kept finding their way back in.

“We did better playing against them tonight,” said Mamba, who led the Lakers with 32 points. “In Sacramento we weren’t able to contain them in any stretch. They made a couple of big 3s down the stretch on a couple of blown assignments. But still in all, we did OK.”

Kobe did more than "OK." 32 points on 11 out of 21 shooting, 7 boards, 3 dimes. Not to mention a two-handed monster jam and one which pretty much sealed the deal for L.A. tonite.

“The whole world knew that he was going to come out ready for this game,” John Salmons said. “So it is what it is—he is Kobe.” Damn Right!

Look for the Lakers to clean up as well as rest up for the game against the Wolves on Sunday. It looks like Luke will be making his 3rd start and, in my opinion, is a smart move by PJ. Well, since it has been working. Last game Luke had 8 points and 6 assists, tonite against the Kings, he had a team high 8 assists. His passing ability can create problems for other teams if he works the triangle to perfection, but it takes the whole team to succeed. Look for the Lakers to take another one at home to reach 20 wins and hopefully we can raise our intensity level and dominate!
