LAKERS vs SIXERS (PRE-GAME REPORT)

After a disappointing game at Indiana against the Pacers, the Lakers must let go of this loss(but don't forget) and focus on the next game ahead. Tonight they make their way to the "City of Brotherly Love" continuing their 3 game road trip to play on the Sixers home floor. Philadelphia, also playing back to back games coming off a win against the Chicago Bulls, has yet to make some big noise in the NBA with a record of 8 wins, 10 losses. The acquisition of Elton Brand during the summer has helped their team. But really not all that much. Their only real consistent players are Andre Iguodala who's averaging 13pts, 5 asts, and Brand averaging 17pts, and 8rebs. Their second year small forward Thaddeus Young shows promise, but also shows the inconsistency of a very young player mentally and physically. Their bench also need some work.

If the Lakers learned from the loss the previous night. They should come out tonight and take care of some business, as a team focused and determined. And if they don't make the same mistakes they made the night before, then it shouldn't be such a hard game for us to take. For the Sixers to win they need big games from both Iguodala and Brand. Thaddeus Young and the bench also need to step in if Philadelphia wants to bang with the big boys of the Los Angeles Lakers. Though this could be the hardest game of the road trip, I expect the Lakers to come out with fire in their eyes and put this one out early to redeem themselves of the horrible game the night before.
