LAKERS vs GRIZZLIES (PRE-GAME REPORT)

Pau Gasol is returning to play against the team he started his career with. When acquired in Febuary of last year, Pau fit seemlessly into our triangle offense. And when Memphis came into town to play Los Angeles last season, Pau was unfortunately sidelined with and an minor ankle injury. Healthy and consistent, The Spaniard hopes to show the Memphis organization what they're missing and what a stupid move it was to trade him. In return they took Pau's younger brother Marc who has been putting up some good numbers and is also one of the top 10 in shooting percentages in the NBA.

Comming off back-to-back losses against the Heat and the Magics, the Lakers hope to avoid a third straight loss. And with two suspect performances from Andrew, I hope to see him shine tonight. Kobe seems to have found his groove back again, while co-captain D-Fish has been stepping up with the absence of Farmar. Last game Vlad-Rad showcased to P.J why he deserves that 3 spot in the starting line up back. The whole bench also needs to step of course with the absence of Farmar. Odom should be that man off the bench to lead the bench mob and also keep them grounded in the game.

Since Pau's departure with Memphis, Rudy Gay has been the go-to-guy for the Grizzlies team. But with the new guy, rookie O.J. Mayo, Gay's numbers has gone down a tad bit. Rudy says its good for the team that there is another option as far as scoring. Marc "Tank" Gasol with a bigger frame than Pau, can cause problems with Bynum. But I think the Lakers will pull through in this game with a win.
