LAKERS vs ZEPHYRS(WIZARDS) POST-GAME REPORT

LAKERS 106 WIZARDS 104

The Lakers finished off an ugly road trip tonight topping the Zephyrs or Wizards or whatever you want to call them. The win was as ugly as DeShawn Stevenson, if not uglier. We let a 19 point lead slip away toward the end of the game due to lack of defense, forced shots and turnovers. The bench looked out of it, and from what i noticed, when Lamar isn't bringing his game, the bench will follow. Step it up L.O.! Kobe had an ugly 5 for 17 shooting night but still managed to post 23 points. He added 7 rebounds and assists nearly hitting a triple double. He nearly sealed the deal with a clutch bank shot late in the fourth, but after a score from the Wizards came up short on one of his two free throws. Thank the basketball Gods that Caron Butler missed a 3 pointer at the buzzer so we wouldn't have to experience another heartbreaker. Bynum looked good tonite. His footwork and court saavy was extremely exciting to watch, let's hope it continues and progresses toward the end of the season. He had 19 points with 10 boards and 3 blocked shots. Pau always comes through, 17 points on 7-11 shooting, 10 boards, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Great game for the kung-Pau. The Space Cadet Radman hit 4 out of 7 shots beyond the arc, I guess he doesn't really need those glasses. Trevor Ariza's stat-line doesn't show how great he is playing. He always manages to be in the right spot at the right time and plays the passing lane perfectly. He also picked Butler's pocket with a behind the back pass to Kobe for the reverse jam. The rest of the bench need to step it up! After we take a commanding lead, Phil Jackson expects the bench to come in and still dominate, I'm sure this is what the team will be focusing on until Sunday. We finally get to come back home to Staples and have a gimme game against the Bucks. Look for the Lakers to blowout the Bucks this Sunday and hold a commanding lead throughout the game as we strive to make our record 17-2!
