LAKERS vs WARRIORS (PRE-GAME REPORT)

Coming off a good 2 day rest after beating Boston Thursday afternoon, it's back to business facing the team who just beat the Celtics on Friday. Ronny Turiaf comes back to Los Angeles, but this time in a Golden State Warriors jersey. As the Lakers had their revenge Thursday, Ronny also had his against Boston putting up 14pts, 8rebs, and 2blks.

The Last time these two teams met were back in March, when Turiaf still wore L.A. on his chest and Baron Davis was still playing in the bay area. They split a back to back facing each other with Lakers first losing at home, and then winning in Golden State. Lamar grabbed a combined 43 rebounds in those two games. Could we see that again tonight? Maybe. But then again that was when Lamar was a starter almost averaging more minutes than Kobe, and Gasol sidelined with an acute ankle injury. Oh, but we'll see tonight. And I hope to see a standing ovation when Ronny is announced.

This could be a dangerous team if they can get going offensively. Also 2nd in scoring in the NBA with 105PPG. The Lakers are number one in scoring with 106PPG but the only difference in the team comes on the other end of the floor. With high scorers Corey Maggette, Monta Ellis, and Jamal Crawford sidelined with injuries, this NorCal team still has other offensive threats in Stephen Jackson, Andris Biedrins, Kelenna Azubuike, rookie C.J. Watson, and not to mention Mr. Energy Ronny Turiaf.

If the Lakers think they can just cruise through this game, they could be in for a surprise. The last time they faced a high scoring team(New York), they almost lost the game. They need to carry on that intensity they played with on Chrismas and play it with consistency.
