LAKERS vs HORNETS (PRE-GAME REPORT)

The 1st and 2nd place teams in the western conference face-off tonite. The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to improve there record to 28-5 and maintain the number one spot in the entire NBA. The Hornets, on the other hand, are trying to earn their first win against the Lakers tonite to try and at least split the season series. This is the third meeting between the teams. The Hornets seem to be frustrated with the Lakers defense and even if L.A. doesn't contain all-star Chris Paul, they try and slow him down as much as possible. Los Angeles is determined to have home court advantage throughout the playoffs. It may be an excuse, it may be me talking from a bitter mouth, but I truly believe that if we had homecourt last year, we would be the reigning champions. “It’s obviously important to have home-court advantage, so we look at it as a challenge to achieve that goal,” reigning league MVP Kobe Bryant said. The LakeShow is 15-1 at home. Winning 2 in NOH isn't a very simple task, winning at Staples? "There's no place like home!"
