LAKERS vs MAGIC (POST-GAME REPORT)

LAKERS 103 MAGIC 109

It looked like we were going to win another one at home by a few points. With 1 minute left we actually had the lead. Kobe had a beautiful triple-double tonight, his first since 2005, but the LA Lakers fell short of a win. The Orlando Magic, the best road team in the league, continued their road streak. Too bad it was against our Lakers.

Defense wins championships. We haven't been playing any defense. Jameer Nelson had 15 points in the 4th quarter. Is his middle name Kobe or Air because Jameer Nelson should not score 15 points in the 4th quarter. The Magic basically capitalized on our weaknesses and took advantage of our mistakes. Dwight Howard is a great player, he finished with 25 points and 20 boards. Sometimes there's not much you can do against a player like this, but Andrew Bynum only grabbing a measley 3 rebounds? Inexcuseable.

Some good things that came out of this loss tonight was VladRads shooting and Lamar's driving to the basket. When a team capitalizes on our weaknesses, we must capitalize on our strengths. Vlad was 5-8 from the three point land with 15 points, with all the weapons this team has, teams take a little less notice to Vlad. And everybody knows once he's on, he's on. Let's hope he keeps shooting at a good percentage. But like everybody knows, when he's off, he's off. Lamar was driving to the basket, getting to the line, and finishing. It looked like L.O. finally realized that no one his size can stop him on the dribble and is athletic enough to meet him at the rim. Maybe this will be his breakout game and add a little more venom in our team. Next up? A preview of what might be the NBA Finals. Los Angeles Lakers vs Cleveland Cavaliers.
